It’s time to remodel your Denver bathroom! You can’t live with that outdated tile and old fixtures any longer. But remodeling a bathroom is not cheap, which is why we wrote this blog post on how to do it for less money. The key is knowing what you want before starting the project so that you don’t end up paying more than needed or making costly mistakes.
Use Wall Paper
Buy an inexpensive roll of wall paper. It’s easy to use, looks great and is available in a wide variety of colors and textures. A little paint on the walls will make your new wallpaper pop! You can also choose from trompe l’oeil or faux finishes that are more expensive but look like real marble, wood, or stone.
Go Vintage
If you want a vintage look, then buy fixtures that are older and made from brass or nickel rather than chrome plated plastic. Older plumbing also has more character to it, but if modern is what you prefer, go with the latter option for less expensive options while still keeping your remodel on budget. You can also use vintage-style mirrors or lights to get the look you want while not spending a lot of money.
Re-Finish Your Bathtub
If you have a cast iron tub, consider having it re-finished. It will look great and add value to your home while still being less expensive than buying new fixtures or a new bathtub altogether.
Use Paint Effectively
Paint is not just for painting walls! Use paint on your bathroom flooring, ceiling and cabinets as well. You can buy paint that matches the color of your bathroom fixtures so everything will coordinate nicely. For cabinets, consider using a matte finish because it’s less expensive than gloss but still looks great!
